Preparation

After each patient’s treatment plan has been established, the specialist will provide a set of preparation instructions. Preparation is essential for a smooth recovery, so we ask that each patient follow their instructions closely.

To prepare for hair restoration, patients may need to temporarily avoid taking blood-thinning medications and supplements, as advised by their doctor, one to two weeks before and after the treatment. Patients will also need to cease their nicotine use for several weeks. It is strongly recommended to stop drinking alcohol at least 24-72 hours before the appointment. Each individual should also be getting a full night’s sleep the evening before the procedure and eating a light breakfast the morning of, although they may be required to fast if they are placed under anesthesia.
