We don’t fly our teams between cities. We are a dedicated FUE Hair Transplant Clinic in Houston.

Learn about the tools of FUE and why they are just tools.

Would you take your Mercedes to the Ford Mechanic?

Sure he may know how to fix it, and probably has fixed a few, but for some people, the important things are ideally handled by the specialist.

Only Fue Houston TexasA Follicular unit hair restoration is time an intensive amount of focus. Precision aiming is required to properly operate the tools of FUE. The tools of FUE include Neograft and ARTAS, but also include manual methods, Alphagraft and many more. Ultimately, these are all just tools and you should research carefully when reviewing your treatment options for male pattern baldness. And remember, when comparing FUE vs FUT, the difference can be dramatic. Our Houston team specializes in the skill of mastering multiple FUE tools.

We hope to help you better understand the question of what is follicular unit extraction (FUE)? Read more about the latest advances in hair restoration. We also hope that this website shares our passion for creating the most amazing & natural hair transplant results we can achieve.

Extraction

Above, you can see the first step as hair grafts are extracted using one of many tools such as the Neograft.

Below, the grafts can be seen through the thick plastic tube as they work through the collection device towards the container that protects them in ice-cooled normal saline.

Here you can see the grafts through the thick white plastic tube as they are processed through the Noegraft in our Houston Clinic. As you can see, we minimize the of exposure to air with the grafts quickly moving to a protected environment. Our experience, skill, and speed are some of the reasons we have had such great results with FUE Hair restoration in our office in Houston, Tx.

Collection

Below, we have the collected grafts ready for counting and quality control checks prior to hair transplant implantation.

Here you will see photos of healthy follicular unit grafts extracted at our Houston office with the Neograft (one of the tools of FUE hair restoration that include alphagraft, and many others).

Note the healthy intact grafts with bulbs (not transected). Although not easily visible, the hair grafts are kept safe in a preserving media and on an cooling plate. This minimizes exposure to drying out, as well as slows down metabolism to prolong survival time outside the scalp while they await transplantation to their new home.

We make every effort to select the best looking grafts for your hair restoration. This includes avoiding transected, twisted, or damaged grafts.

Implant Site Creation

Below, the next step is taken. The hair transplant implant sites are created in a discrete fashion.

To demonstrate the microslite hair sites, here you see the sites in which the hair implanted graft is placed. Six freshly made sites are in this photo and seen from a distance of 1 foot away.

The sites are very discrete on creation. The hair implant graft site process is painless and little to no blood loss occurs. Without magnification, it takes a well trained eye to understand and know the location of the sites for hair implantation during replacement surgery.

The best hair transplant graft placement varies from patient to patient and involves artistic skills for great results.

Implantation

Below is the final step. The hair grafts are implanted gently into the recipient sites.

In this magnified video, you can see the graft at a close up as it goes into the micro-slit (that is barely visible even this close up). This is a typical male restoration procedure at our clinic. Note the grasping of the hair follicle and gentle insertion. In this highly skilled step, the hair graft is implanted with a slight tucking motion and but by force.

We believe training, re-training, and constant monitoring of our technician team skills is very critical to achieve the desired results. We also offer more advanced approaches in select patients. Such methods may allow for a more undetectable donor area and are sometimes called U-FUE. This method can also be further modified to produce unshaven FUE extraction given the proper circumstances.
